R.I.P. Fruitcake Lady
I LOVED this character on Jay Leno...but then again I have a soft spot for old southern "tell-it-like-it-is" women (perhaps cause I'll be one one day, lol?)
I thought she was simply hilarious! She passed away on November 3rd.
WARNING! May be offensive tosome...that old lady could get a little vulgar!

HEROES IN THE STRUGGLE
So it looks like I'm going to have the pleasure of attending this star-studded event (thank you Miss Michelle Coons, lol!). I've been to a few awards shows now, but this one is very special. First of all the Black Aids Institute does awesome work in terms of HIV education and awareness in the black community, they were also a co-sponsor of my film Let's Talk...but the thing I'm really excited about is that as of now it looks like I might have the privilege of not only attending, but PRESENTING as well! It's not set in stone yet, but it's a definite possibility. Now I've attended, but I've never presented, so needless to say it would be an awesome opportunity! Some of the other presenters include (from what I hear, lol) Vanessa Williams, Hill Harper, Loretta Divine, CD Robi Reed and a host of others...wish me luck!
